Blair Woods is best described as a “Sports Junkie.” In 2006, he was introduced to the operation side of basketball camps as a camp director in Columbia, Mo. Impressed with the camper’s abilities to accomplish tasks and help each other succeed, he fell in love with the process of teaching basketball to inquiring minds. Exploring the basketball world further, in 2012 he worked with his first sports agency as a Head Scout and built contacts in both the NBA and Overseas to help College Athletes play professionally after their collegiate career.
Blair’s heart to serve and love for ministry lead him to Kids Across America (a Christian Sports Camp). He served as Head Basketball Coach where he learned how to use sports as a tool to instill community, trust, and discipline. Leaving camp, Blair saw the power sports had on the ability to intrigue young minds to reach beyond what they believed they could achieve. When given the proper platform kids ability to learn was increased dramatically. Blair created The BWP to build a positive yet discipline atmosphere for growth. While also providing the resources kids need to learn, develop and compete on and off the court. You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach them to learn by creating curiosity, they will continue the learning process as long as they live.
All these kids need is a fighting chance, thats all they ever needed. If you give them that, watch them eurostep misconception, dunk on doubt and shoot tres in tribulations face all day long - Blair Woods
